Fourty-five people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours raising the total number of cases in the country to 3,044.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirmed an additional 45 cases of COVID-19 infections in the Maldives. These include 31 Maldivians, 12 Bangladeshis and 2 Indians.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in the Maldives is now 3,044.

They added that in the past 24 hours, total new recoveries were at 28 which brings the total number of recoveries to 2,397. With this, the total number of active cases is now 617.

So far there are 15 COVID-19 deaths in the country. These are four Bangladeshis and ten Maldivians along with a Phillipines national.
