Thirty-six people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours raising the total number of cases in the country to 2,966.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirmed an additional 68 cases of COVID-19 infections in the Maldives. These include 29 Maldivians, 5 Bangladeshis, and 2 Indians.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in the Maldives is now 2,966.

They added that in the past 24 hours, total new recoveries were at 8 which brings the total number of recoveries to 2,362. With this, the total number of active cases is now 574.

So far there are 15 COVID-19 deaths in the country. These are four Bangladeshis and ten Maldivians along with a Phillipines national.
