MNDF has started a search after a man was reported missing from a vessel traveling from Male’ City to Alifu Dhaalu Mandhoo.

The missing man is 27-year-old Ali Shah, who was traveling to his island for home quarantine on board the “Ranthari” boat.

He was reported missing by the captain of the vessel at 2:10 a.m. last night, after the vessel entered the Mandhoo lagoon.

While Coast Guard divers are conducting searches underwater, the Coast Guard vessel “Kaani” is doing a surface search according to MNDF.
