Sixty-eight people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours raising the total number of cases in the country to 2,899.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirmed an additional 68 cases of COVID-19 infections in Maldives. These include 47 Maldivians, 9 Bangladeshis, 4 Indians, 1 Nepali, 3 Filipinos, and 4 Sri Lankans.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in the Maldives is now 2,899.

They added that in the past 24 hours, total new recoveries were at 18 which brings the total number of recoveries to 2,339. With this, the total number of active cases is now 530.

So far there are 15 COVID-19 deaths in the country. These are four Bangladeshis and ten Maldivians along with a Phillipines national.
