The total number of people who have recovered from COVID-19 in the Maldives had risen to 2,290 after 6 more people recovered from the illness in the past 24 hours.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirmed that in the past 22 hours, total new recoveries were at 6 which brings the total number of recoveries to 2,290. With this, the total number of active cases is now 444.
The agency also confirmed and additional 31 cases of COVID-19 infections in Maldives. These include 22 Maldivians, 8 Bangladeshis and 1 Indian.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in the Maldives is now 2,762.
So far there are 13 COVID-19 deaths in the country. These are four Bangladeshis and eight elderly Maldivians along with a Phillipines national.
