47 more recovers from COVID-19, total recoveries to 2,227

The total number of people who have recovered from COVID-19 in the Maldives had risen to 2,227 after 47 more people recovered from the illness in the past 24 hours.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirmed that in the past 22 hours, total new recoveries were at 47 which brings the total number of recoveries to 2,227. With this, the total number of active cases is now 306.

The agency also confirmed and additional 36 cases of COVID-19 infections in Maldives. hese include 33 Maldivians, 2 Bangladeshis, and 1 Indian.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in the Maldives is now 2,253.

So far there are 13 COVID-19 deaths in the country. These are four Bangladeshis and eight elderly Maldivians along with a Phillipines national.
