Twenty-three people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours raising the total number of cases in the country to 2,491.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirmed an additional 23 cases of COVID-19 infections in Maldives. These include 16 Maldivians and 7 Bangladeshis.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in the Maldives is now 2,491.

They added that in the past 24 hours, total new recoveries were at 64 which brings the total number of recoveries to 2,113. With this, the total number of active cases is now 361.

So far there are 12 COVID-19 deaths in the country. These are four Bangladeshis and seven elderly Maldivians along with a Phillipines national.
