An 11th person has passed away from COVID-19 complications in the Maldives.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that a 77-year-old Maldivian woman being treated at DH-11 at Dharumavantha Hospital passed away during treatment last night at 1:52 a.m.

While an 11th COVID-19 patient in Maldives passed away last night, the oldest patient, a 92-year-old Maldivian, passed away on the Wednesday last week.

So far, the COVID-19 related deaths in the country include four Bangladeshi nationals, a man from Philippines and six elderly Maldivians.

While 2,434 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the Maldives so far, 2,030 people have recovered so far with 389 people currently in recovery.
