Dr. Nazla Rafeeq has been appointed as the Spokesperson for the Health Emergency Operation Center (HEOC).

The National Emergency Operation Center (NEOC) was disbanded July 1st with its works being transferred to the HEOC. Undersecretary at the President's Office, Mabrouq Azeez filled in as the Spokesperson for NEOC.

A tweet by Health Ministry on Saturday night confirmed that Dr. Nazla had been appointed as the Spokesperson for the HEOC.

She is also currently the Senior Medical Officer at the Health Protection Agency (HPA).
