The total number of people who has recovered from COVID-19 in the Maldives had risen to 1,944 after 17 more people recovered from the illness.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirmed that in the past 24 hours, total new recoveries were at 17 which brings the total number of recoveries to 1,944. With this, the total number of active cases are now 403.

The agency also confirmed an additional 24 cases of COVID-19 infections in Maldives. This includes 11 Maldivians, 07 Bangladeshis, and 06 Indians.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in the Maldives is now 2,361.

So far there are 9 COVID-19 deaths in the country. These are four Bangladeshis and four elderly Maldivians along with a Phillipines national who died today.
