Ministry of Gender, Family and Social Services has said that they would be taking action against those who release information of children that affects their sanctity.

The Ministry made the statement after a video of two children involved in age-inappropriate behavior had hit social media. The Ministry and other related institutions have started investigating the case.

Child Protection Service of the Gender Ministry issued the statement saying that circulating such videos on social media puts the safety of the children and violates the sanctity of children that would affect them as they grow up and so, posting such videos are not acceptable.

The statement said that as per Article 53 of the Children’s Rights Act, an action that diminishes the rights of children is against the law.

Article 10-A of the Act states that every child deserves the right to care from the parents, guardian, community and state while Article 33-A states that releasing information of children in a way that diminishes are their stature is illegal.
