Maldives Civil Aviation Authority has revealed the Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) for airlines who wish to travel to the Maldives under new normal, as the country opens it's borders on July 15th.

A circular issued by the Authority noted that on arrival requirements include; a hotel reservation confirmation for the entire stay in a registered tourist facility and a completed online Health Declaration Forms before arrival (but not exceed 24 hours before arrival time). On arrival visas will be granted to all tourists in compliance to the requirements.

They also added that the health measures requested by the Health Protection Agency (HPA) include wearing face masks at all times during the flights.

If a passenger develops any symptoms upon arrival, they are advised to inform the Immigration desk or the Border Health desk. If they develop any symptoms after arriving in Maldives they are advised to call COVID-19 hotline 1676 and inform them of the symptoms.

They also noted that It is the responsibility of the passenger and crew to fulfill the health requirements for the country of departure. Passenger must carry the required test results with them when arriving at the departure check-in counter.

All departure passengers and crew are also advised to report to the COVID-19 hotline 1676, if they are having any of the symptoms, within 24hrs of their departure time.
