The total number of active COVID-19 cases reached 396 on Tuesday, with 16 new recoveries being reported past 24 hours.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirmed that in the past 24 hours, total new recoveries were at 16 which brings the total number of recoveries to 1,829. With this, the total number of active cases are now 396.

The agency also confirmed an additional 21 cases of COVID-19 infections in Maldives. These include 12 Maldivians, 07 Bangladeshis, 01 Indian, and 01 Nepali.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in the Maldives are now 2,238.

So far there are 8 COVID-19 deaths in the country. These are four Bangladeshis and four elderly Maldivians.
