Former President Dr. Mohamed Waheed Hassan Manik has said that the trial proceedings of Former President Abdulla Yameen were not completely just.

Speaking at a press conference of the Progressive Coalition tonight, the Special Advisor of the Coalition, former President Dr. Mohamed Waheed Hassan Manik said that he believes the trial did not proceed justly and it was not the most fair trial.

The former President said that he would do everything he can to get justice from the international community.

Former President Waheed said that many believe the former President Yameen was imprisoned unjustly and during these challenging times, he is in prison.

Former President Yameen was sentenced to five years in prison last November after convicting him of money laundering.
