Chairman of the Elections Commission of Maldives, Ahmed Shareef has revealed that the commission is working to facilitate online re-registrations for the Local Council Election, which has been postponed to the coming year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Shareef made the statement while speaking during a program on PSM.

He noted that with such an implementation, he believes that election center visits for the purpose of re-registration will come to an end.
