The total number of active COVID-19 cases reached 389 on Thursday, with 19 new recoveries being reported past 24 hours.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirmed that in the past 24 hours, total new recoveries were at 19 which brings the total number of recoveries to 1,788. With this, the total number of active cases are now 389.

The agency also confirmed an additional 37 cases of COVID-19 infections in Maldives. These include 19 Maldivians, 12 Bangladeshis and 06 Indians.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in the Maldives are now 2,187.

So far there are 8 COVID-19 deaths in the country. These are four Bangladeshis and four elderly Maldivians.
