Male’ City Council has ordered that the vehicles parked at the Male’ Industrial Village on the western side of the city to be removed within a week.

The City Council said that they are working with the Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO) to clean the area and so the parked vehicles in the area need to be removed.

The Council said that if the vehicles are not removed, they would be removing the vehicles through the Maldives Police Service and would not be responsible for any damages during the removal.

They also said that the vehicles without the engines in the area need to be removed as well and failing to do so would result in scrapping them.

Waste issue at the Industrial Zone is a major concern raised by the public when the Ministry of Planning and Infrastructure assigned the upkeep of the Industrial Village to the Male’ City Council.
