The total number of active COVID-19 cases reached 433 on Wednesday, with 07 new recoveries being reported past 24 hours.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirmed that in the past 24 hours, total new recoveries were at 7 which brings the total number of recoveries to 1,677. With this, the total number of active cases are now 433.

The agency also confirmed an additional 26 cases of COVID-19 infections in the Maldives which includes 03 Maldivians, 16 Bangladeshis, 03 Nepalese, 03 Indians, and 01 Sri Lankan.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in the Maldives are now 2,120.

So far there are 8 COVID-19 deaths in the country. These are four Bangladeshis and four elderly Maldivians.
