The total number of new COVID-19 cases reported in the Maldives on Wednesday was 26 for a 24 hour period.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirmed an additional 26 cases of COVID-19 infections in Maldives which includes 03 Maldivians, 16 Bangladeshis, 03 Nepalese, 03 Indians and 01 Sri Lankan.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in the Maldives are now 2,120.
They added that in the past 24 hours, total new recoveries were at 7 which brings the total number of recoveries to 1,677. With this the total number of active cases are now 433.
So far there are 8 COVID-19 deaths in the country. These are four Bangladeshis and four elderly Maldivians.
