The eldest COVID-19 patient in the Maldives has recovered and been discharged to home.

The patient is a renowned artist who had made quite a name for himself earlier. Sarudhaaru Dhonmanike is 92 years old as of now.

He was found positive to COVID-19 on May 28th, and was receiving treatment at the Tree Top Hospital in Hulhumale'.

NEOC Spokesperson Mabrook Azeez confirmed that the patient had recovered today and that he has since been discharged.

About 80% of all COVID-19 cases have recovered so far, with 130 new recoveries being reported yesterday as well.
