The total number of new COVID-19 cases reported in the Maldives on Monday was 29 for a 24 hour period.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirmed an additional 29 cases of COVID-19 infections in Maldives with the latest numbers including 01 Maldivian, 15 Bangladeshis, 09 Nepalese, 02 Indians, 01 Filipino, and 01 N/A.
They added that in the past 24 hours, total new recoveries were at 130 which brings the total number of recoveries to 1,670. With this the total number of active cases are now 414.
Yesterday Maldives reported the highest single-day new recoveries with 229 new recoveries.
So far there are 8 COVID-19 deaths in the country. These are four Bangladeshis and four elderly Maldivians.
