An employee of state-media, Public Service Media (PSM) has tested positive to COVID-19.

NEOC Spokesperson Mabrook Azeez and PSM Managing Director Ali Khalid had both confirmed the news to "One Online".

Khalid noted that the employee is a technical worker who has been active during NEOC press conferences as well. The employee was found to be yesterday after which a contact tracing had been conducted where eight people have been asked to remain home for being in contact with the patient.

He further noted that no locations have been brought under monitoring regarding this as of yet.

Mabrook added that the patient was found to be positive from a random sample and that the NEOC operations at Dharubaaruge have not been brought to a state of monitoring yet.
