Maldives on Monday reported 229 new recoveries, marking it a record high in the number of new recoveries reported daily.

With this, there are now 515 active cases of COVID-19 in the country while the total number of recoveries are now 1,540.

The total number of new COVID-19 cases reported in the same 24 hour period was 30, which include 16 Maldivians, 13 Bangladeshis, and 01 Nepali.

So far there are 8 COVID-19 deaths in the country. These are four Bangladeshis and four elderly Maldivians.
