The total number of new COVID-19 cases reported in the Maldives on Sunday was 22, counting in the total for 24 hours.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) revealed that these include 09 Maldivians, 09 Bangladeshis, 01 Indian, 02 Nepalese along with 01 Thailand national. While total COVID-19 cases in the Maldives are 2,305, the number of active cases is now 714.

They added that in the past 24 hours, 94 new recoveries have been reported which brings the total number to 1,311.

So far there are 8 COVID-19 deaths in the country. These are four Bangladeshis and four elderly Maldivians.
