The total number of new COVID-19 cases reported past 24 hours stood at 26 in the Maldives on Tuesday.

Speaking during a press conference at the National Emergency Operation Center (NEOC), Dr. Ibrahim Afzal revealed that this included 19 Maldivians and seven foreigners.

He added that the majority of these cases are from the 18-40 years age category.

Maldives also reported 85 new recoveries today, bringing total recoveries to 1,010 marking the first time the total number of recoveries are higher than active cases.
