Facebook and Twitter accounts of Hulhumale' Rehendhi School and the account of its Principal has been hacked.
Ministry of Education has confirmed via Twitter that the accounts of Rehendhi School and its Principal, Nazim Abdulla has been hacked and it has been reported to the Maldives Police Service and the respective social media platforms.
However, there have been no posts from the hacked accounts so far.
Recently, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) website along with the Facebook and Twitter accounts of the Tourism Ministry was hacked as well which attracted a lot of criticism to the government.
When the Twitter account of the Tourism Ministry was hacked, a tweet was sent out asking why the Maldivian government is not helping out its people during the global pandemic while every other country has its governments helping the people.
Police are currently investigating the hacking of the HPA website and the Tourism Ministry social media accounts.
