Since this year’s Environment Day falls during a global lock down, the Environment Ministry said that all related activities this year will be carried out via social media.

This year’s theme for the Environment Day is Time for Nature with a highlight on biodiversity and creating awareness on the different environmental challenges across the world. The United Nations have been celebrating the World Environment Day for the past 46 years.
