Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, Aishath Nahula has said that discussions have been held with the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) to issue car registration permits to those living in Hulhumale’ and the process will begin once an agreement has been established and signed with HDC.

Responding to questions by the parliament committee on national development and treasure regarding the work of the Ministry of Transport during the COVID-19 lock down, Minister Nahula said that HDC has filed the taxi issue in Hulhumale’,

She said that the necessary meetings regarding the matter has been held and the MoUs are being prepared as well.

There has been an outcry of public concern after the parking space and vehicle registration in Hulhumale’ was suspended.
