52 new recoveries bring total recovered to 453

Maldives on Sunday reported 52 new recoveries bringing the total number of recoveries to 453.

Speaking at the NEOC press conference, Spokesperson, Mohamed Mabrook Abdul Aziz confirmed that 52 more people have recovered from the illness and it makes up 27 percent of the people who tested positive for COVID-19 in the country.

Meanwhile 101 people have tested positive for the illness today as well. They consist of 72 Bangladeshi nationals, 21 Indian nationals and eight Maldivians. He said that 79 people of those are of the same cluster and two independent cases.

And so, the number of cases in the country has risen to 1173 while five people have passed away.
