Assistant Commissioner of Police Ismail Naveen has stated that taxis will need to be disinfected between rides.

Speaking at the joint press conference by the Male’ City Council and the Maldives Police Service, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Ismail Naveen said that as some of the lock down restrictions are being lifted and taxi service resumes, taxi services would have to follow the regulations set by the Health Protection Agency (HPA).

And so, taxis have to be thoroughly disinfected between rides.

Taxis must also have a barrier between the driver and the passenger.
