Total COVID-19 recoveries in Maldives reached 242 on Wednesday, with 10 new recoveries.

Speaking at the NEOC press conference tonight, Dr. Nazla Rafeeq said that since last night’s press conference, another ten people have recovered from COVID-19 in the Maldives.

Dr. Nazla said that there are now 124 people in isolation facilities and 1781 people in quarantine facilities and 40 people have been released from quarantine last night while 188 samples were collected for pre-release testing.

So far 1481 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the Maldives while five people have passed away from the illness; three elderly locals and two Bangladeshi nationals.
