Ministry of Foreign Affairs has revealed that 50 Maldivian students in Belarus who wish to return home along with 23 students in the United Kingdom will be brought back coming Sunday.
The Ministry noted that these students will fly from London on a Sri Lankan Airlines flight. Student currently in Belarus will travel from Minsk to London this Saturday, according to the Ministry.
They further noted that the Embassy of Maldives in Germany, Maldivian High Commission in the UK, and the Ministry have been negotiating with Sri Lankan Airlines and the relevant authorities in the UK to finalize the arrangements of the flight.
Maldivians traveling in this flight will be paying for their own tickets and will undergo a 14-day quarantine in the Maldives upon arrival.
