COVID-19 recoveries in Maldives reach 104 with 13 new recoveries

The total number of COVID-19 recoveries in the Maldives reached 104 on Thursday, with 13 new reported recoveries.

Speaking at the NEOC press conference, Spokesperson Mohamed Mabrook Abdul Aziz said that 1106 people are currently being treated for the illness.

While 104 people have recovered, Mabrook said that 21 people have confirmed positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. And while 352 samples were collected today, there are 195 samples pending results.

So far 1216 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the Maldives while four people have passed away from the illness; three elderly Maldivians and a Bangladeshi national.
