Ministry of Finance and Treasury has decided to pay over-time to health workers during the holy month of Ramadan. The decision was announced on a circular issued by the Ministry yesterday.
The circular states that Article 6 of the of the circular issued on Saturday regarding the government spending cuts amid the COVID-19 pandemic will come into effect on 1 Shawwal, since Ramadan is considered to have special working hours.
And so, up to 7 Shawwal 1441, over-time pay will be in effect as per previous months. And from 8 Shawwal, the over-time allowance will be as per Saturday’s circular, according to the Finance Ministry.
