Health Protection Agency (HPA) confrimed 37 new cases on Tuesday, revealing that the total number of COVID-19 cases in the Maldives now stands at 1,143.

HPA revealed that among the new cases, 15 are Maldivians with 19 Bangladeshis and 3 Indians.

Today marks the highest number of infections for the current week with Sunday's tally being at 16 and Monday's tally at 12.

So far 80 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the Maldives while four COVID-19 deaths have been recorded.
