The total number of COVID-19 cases in the Maldives has now reached 1,106.
Speaking at the NEOC press conference, Spokesperson Mohamed Mabrook Abdul Aziz said that so far 15,602 samples have been collected in the Maldives and 1106 people have tested positive.
He said that 328 samples were collected in the past 24 hours and 16 more people have been confirmed for COVID-19 and 66 people have been identified via contact tracing while 322 samples are pending results.
Mabrook said that 345 locations are being monitoring and 995 people are in isolation while 1509 people are at quarantine facilities with an addition 500 at transit quarantine facilities.
