World Health Organisation (WHO) on Monday donated 10,000 test kits and PPE to the Maldives to help in battling the COVID-19 pandemic.
Health Minister Abdulla Ameen had thanked the WHO Representative to the Maldives, Dr. Arvind Mathur for the generous help that the organization has been extending to the Maldives.
With the most recent donation, the organization has now donated 21,000 test kits to the Maldives in total. They had also revealed that the number of test kits allocated for the Maldives will increase in the future.
WHO has been assisting the Maldives in their battle against the COVID-19 pandemic in many different ways. This includes assistance in procuring materials as well as aid from other organisations.
