The total number of COVID-19 cases in the Maldives climbed up to 1,078 on Saturday with 47 new reported cases.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that as of 06:00pm an additional 47 cases of COVID-19 infection in Maldives had been confirmed.

This includes 19 Maldivians, 22 Bangladeshis, 02 Nepalese and 04 Indians.

The total number of new reported cases past 24 hours have now climbed to 58 as well.

While Maldives have recorded four COVID-19 deaths, 49 people have recovered from the infection.
