Six additional COVID-19 recoveries in the Maldives have brought the total to 46.

Speaking during a press conference at the National Emergency Operation Center (NEOC), Dr. Ibrahim Afzal confirmed that an additional six patients have recovered from COVID-19 today bringing the total number of cured patients to 46.

The doctor noted that five men along with one women are among those who recovered today. All of them are Maldivians.

NEOC Spokesperson Mabrouk Azeez also revealed that since last press, a total of 27 new cases have been reported in the Maldives. However no further details were provided.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) had revealed about 13 of the 27 new cases this afternoon. That included 8 Maldivians and 5 Bangladeshis.
