Health Protection Agency (HPA) has announced 55 new cases of COVID-19 today, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 955.
Speaking during a press conference at the National Emergency Operation Center (NEOC), Spokesperson Mabrouk Azeez said that within the past 24 hours, 51 new cases have been reported.
HPA noted that these cases included 12 Maldivians, 11 Bangladeshis, 26 Indians, 01 Srilankan and 01 Nepali.
With this, the number of Bangladeshis who have tested positive to COVID-19 in the Maldives have now reached 506. Rest include 316 Maldivians, 98 Indians, 11 Nepalis and Italians, 6 Sri Lankans, 3 Pakistanis and 4 from unidentified countries.
The total number of recoveries in the country also climbed to 40 with 8 new additional recoveries today.
