Maldives on Tuesday announced the 32nd COVID-19 recovery in the country, as the number of new infections continued a surge.
Speaking at the National Emergency Operation Center (NEOC) press conference tonight, Dr. Afzal said that latest recovery is Case no. 52; the first person to test positive for COVID-19 in Uligan and the first person to test positive outside the Maldivian capital. The person tested positive on 19 April 2020 and four others who came in contact have also tested positive.
The total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Maldives is currently at 904 and three people have passed away in connection to the illness.
