The total number of COVID-19 recoveries in the Maldives have reached 31.

Speaking at the NEOC press conference, Spokesperson Mohamed Mabrook Abdul Aziz said that one other person has recovered from COVID-19 in the Maldives.

He said that since the press conference last night, 27 positive cases were found which includes a five-year-old. And while 285 Maldivians have tested positive for the illness with 567 foreigners, another person have recovered and 826 people are in treatment.

Mabrook said that contact tracing is underway following the most recent cases and 331 contacts have been identified so far. He said that there are over 800 people in isolation facilities and over 1200 people in quarantine facilities while 87 people have been released from quarantine today.

So far, 862 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the Maldives and 31 people have made a recovery. However, two locals and a Bangladeshi national have passed away due to complications with the illness.
