Twelve employees of ADK Hospital have tested positive for COVID-19.

Speaking to "One Online", Managing Director of ADK, Ahmed Affal said that the 12 employees work as helpers in various departments of the hospital. They all are foreign nationals.

He also noted that the 12 employees reside in the accommodation block in Hulhumale', where a total of 40 workers live in.

Affal further revealed that the 12 employees were tested positive on May 08th, and that they all have been since isolated with others being brought to quarantine. The employees are Bangladeshi and Nepalese and are not believed to have contracted the virus at the hospital.

He also added that some of those employees had reported to work on May 7th. They were found to be positive the same day after HPA initiated tests following some of them being symptomatic.
