Maldives on Sunday reported the 30th COVID-19 recovery.

Speaking during a press conference at the National Emergency Operation Center (NEOC), Dr. Ibrahim Afzal said that an additional patient has recovered from COVID-19 in the country. The patient is Case 86.

As per the COVID-19 dashboard updated by HPA, Case 86 is a 31 year old Maldivian male. He tested positive on April 21.

Dr. Afzal also added that all COVID-19 cases found before the community spread have recovered successfully.

Maldives reported 45 new cases today. With these numbers, the total number of foreigners positive for COVID-19 has reached 552 with 460 of them being Bangladeshis.

The number of Maldivians with COVID-19 have now also climbed up to 279 in addition to 63 Indians and 10 Nepalese. Other nationals include 11 Italians, five Sri Lankans, three Pakistanis and four who haven't identified a nation as of yet.

Maldives have also recorded three COVID-19 deaths so far; two Maldivians and one Bangladeshi. Total 29 recoveries have been made so far.
