COVID-19 Spokesperson Mabrouk Azeez has said that an additional 5,000 PCR test kits will be received tomorrow.

Speaking during a press conference at the National Emergency Operation Center (NEOC), Mabrouk said that these were test kits being given by WHO. He also noted that some ventilators have arrived in the Maldives today.

Mabrouk also added that an Indian boat will arrive in the Maldives on Tuesday with aid provided by the government. Non-perishables are included among the 580 tonnes of aid being provided by India.

Many countries have been helping Maldives out during the pandemic. These include generous donations by the Indian and Chinese governments.
