Maldives has reported an additional 45 cases as the total number of infections in the country has reached 835.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) noted that as of 05:00pm on Sunday, an additional 45 cases have been confirmed.

These include 22 Bangladeshis, 20 Maldivians, 01 Indian and 02 Nepalese.

These are the first new cases reported by HPA today. With these numbers, the total number of foreigners positive for COVID-19 has reached 552 with 460 of them being Bangladeshis.

The number of Maldivians with COVID-19 have now also climbed up to 279 in addition to 63 Indians and 10 Nepalese. Other nationals include 11 Italians, five Sri Lankans, three Pakistanis and four who haven't identified a nation as of yet.

Maldives have also recorded three COVID-19 deaths so far; two Maldivians and one Bangladeshi. Total 29 recoveries have been made so far.
