A third patient has died in the Maldives from COVID-19.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) revealed that an 80 year old man who was receiving treatment at Dharumavantha Hospital has passed away on Thursday night at 11:20pm.

The first two deaths in Maldives related to COVID-19 are a Maldivian and a Bangladeshi.

While there are 648 cases of COVID-19 in the Maldives as of now, 20 of them have recovered.
