With 44 new cases of COVID-19 being reported today, the total in Maldives have now reached 618.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) noted that as of 04:30pm, an additional 44 cases of COVID-19 infection in Maldives was confirmed, Among these include 34 Bangladeshis, 02 Indians and 08 Maldivians.

This includes samples from active surveillance of vulnerable homes.

With this, the total number of new cases today are now at 45. Today also marks as the highest rise in cases for the past five days.

Maldives have also recorded two COVID-19 deaths; one Bangladeshi and one Maldives. 20 cases have reported a total recovery.
