MNDF has developed an emergency ventilator for the needs of National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC).

MNDF Service Corps Signal developed the ventilator. Works on the development of the ventilator began on April 18, 2020 and sourced parts from broken down electronics. MNDF revealed that 14 days were taken to complete the development of the ventilator.

MNDF revealed that Defense Minister Mariya Ahmed Didi, Chief of Defense Force Major General Abdulla Shamaal and Vice Chief of Defense Force Brigadier General Abdul Raheem Abdul Latheef participated in the small event to showcase the ventilator.

They further added that since the ventilator is a prototype, necessary tests and trials are set to be conducted.
