Health Protection Agency (HPA) has announced 23 new cases of COVID-19 today, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 514.
This includes 17 Maldivians, 4 Bangladeshis, 1 Indian and 1 Nepali. Thus the total number of positive cases from the Maldives is currently at 514.
With this the total number of new cases in the past 24 hours is now 33. This includes 22 Maldivians, 7 Bangladeshis, 3 Indians and 1 Nepali.
Bangladesh nationals still remain as the most number of infected in the Maldives with 265 of cases being Bangladesh nationals and 174 being Maldivians.
Of 514 cases reported in the Maldives, 17 have recovered so far with the death of an 83 year old woman marking the first COVID-19 death in the country.
